Kerri Anderson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist graduating from Fairfield University in 2011 with a strong focus on Structural and Strategic Family Therapy models. She is also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy model as well as being an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Kerri founded Anderson Counseling and Wellness, PLLC in June 2018 to help individuals, children, and families struggling with a variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and adjustments.
After over 11 years of working with children and families, Kerri’s path has shifted to serve those 16+ in need of support working through times of transition and change, anxiety, depression, body image struggles, and difficulties with emotional or binge eating.
Another current clinical focus of Kerri’s is working with ADHD adolescents and adults, having also acquired certification as an ADHD- CCSP ( ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider). Kerri is passionate about creating an affirming space for wellness and mental health support with the neurodivergent ( ADHD and Autistic) person in mind.
In addition to her time with clients, Kerri also enjoys working with other therapists providing supervision and consultations as well as teaching in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. Kerri also enjoys weightlifting and resistance training, recently studying Trauma- Informed Weightlifting and plans to bring these ideas into the therapy room soon!
