Kerri Anderson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an Internal Family Systems Therapist, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, as well as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. Ms. Anderson founded Anderson Counseling and Wellness, PLLC in June 2018 to help children, adults, and families in the New Milford area. Her goals were to create a safe space where families can find connection, healing, and rediscover playfulness.
In early 2020, in response to a need in the community, Kerri began to shift her focus to a long held passion of helping women become more authentically themselves. Achieving this through her ability to connect with these struggles, while utilizing her training in Internal Family Systems to bring awareness to our own stuck points and gently guide clients into a more balanced life. Kerri has a history of working with women struggling with emotional eating and body image struggles, both individually and in group settings. She also has experience working with women going through various life transitions, such as marriage, divorce, birth, job changes, etc.
In addition to her time with clients, Ms. Anderson also enjoys working with other therapists providing supervision and consultations, developing trainings and giving workshops, as well as teaching in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy.
